Acknowledgement of Country

The Doctors’ Health Advisory Service of Western Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and work, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation, and pays respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

We recognise the enduring connection of Noongar people to land, waters and community, and their living knowledge systems that continue to support health and wellbeing on this Country. We also acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across Western Australia, and pay our respects wherever our clinicians live and work.

We are inspired by the Noongar concept of kaarl — the hearth or campfire — a place of warmth, gathering, knowledge sharing, healing and connection. We aim to create a sense of safety and connection for doctors seeking care.
