Show your support for doctors’ and other health professionals’ mental health and well-being on Friday 20 October 2017, by donning your ‘loudest’ shirt and brightening up your work day!

Loud Shirt Friday allows all hospital staff to show support and help raise awareness of the importance of mental health and well-being. Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and all allied health staff are all invited to wear a loud shirt and show support.

The inaugural LSF event is a nation-wide initiative that has been established by doctors-in-training who wish to become better leaders and mentors in the future – who are willing to change the culture of their workplace. The event was inspired by the recent tragic loss of colleagues and friends in the health and medical field to suicide, reminding us all to look out for each other, ensure we debrief when tragedy strikes and provide an ear or shoulder when one is required.
